Our Mission

For the Culture

2Gs in a Pod is a culture-first platform elevating Black music, art, and community. We cover festivals, interview artists, and create space for the conversations that shape the scene.

The Evolution

What started in November 2017 as a grassroots podcast — two friends talking hip-hop from a London flat — has grown into something bigger. Over 120 episodes, three seasons, a digital magazine, live events, and a Black History Month panel discussion later, 2Gs in a Pod has evolved from a podcast into a culture platform.

We started because we believed fans deserved a voice. The music industry rarely makes space for the people who actually live the culture — the ones in the crowd, the ones sharing playlists, the ones debating bars at 2am. We wanted to change that.

Now we cover festivals, publish editorial features, host community events, and build the tools that bring the culture closer together. The depth of what we do today is a far cry from Episode 1, but the mission hasn't changed: celebrate Black music culture, elevate marginalised voices, and create a platform as vibrant as the community it serves.
